A New Generation of FR Textiles

At Massif, we build our garments from the ground up, exclusively using our own flame-resistant fabrics. We don't use outside suppliers for our fabrics because we simply don't believe that anyone else makes FR fabrics that live up to our standards.

The foundation of each fabric is a proprietary blend of high quality fibers selected for the optimum combination of flame resistance, weight, strength, breathability, stretch, comfort, moisture management, and durability. Specialized knitting and finishing techniques allow us to develop sophisticated FR textiles with performance capabilities that exceed expectations every time.

All Massif fabrics exceed benchmarks for flame-resistant outdoor fabrics including the ASTM D6413/F2302-03 vertical test standard.

Elements^™

Elements FR softshell fabric combines the weatherproof and durable qualities of hard shell fabrics with the comfort and warmth of fleece. This three-layer fabric features an abrasion-resistant exterior, a soft fleece interior, and a windproof, waterproof, highly breathable membrane. Exceptional 4-way stretch and a high warmth-to-weight ratio minimize bulk and maximize your range of motion.

Elements Lite^™

Lightweight Warmth | Four-Way Stretch | Breathable | Windproof | Waterproof | Abrasion Resistant

Elements Lite is designed to provide protection in a very breathable softshell, keeping users comfortable when they're on the move in cool, windy, and wet weather conditions. Elements Lite is a three-layer laminated fabric with an abrasion-resistant outer layer, soft inner layer (not fleece), and windproof, waterproof and highly breathable membrane. Four-way stretch allows for uninhibited range of motion on the move or in cockpits and other cramped quarters.

Flamestretch ^™

Warm | Four-Way Stretch | Breathable | Abrasion Resistant

Massif's Flamestretch fleece fabric offers the same characteristics as high performance polyester fleece, but is fully flame resistant. Flamestretch is warm and stretchy and allows moisture vapor to escape, making it perfect for high activity in cold weather. In addition, Flamestretch stays warm even when wet and hydrophobic yarns ensure quick drying.

Hotjohns^™

Warm | Four-Way Stretch | Breathable | Wicking | Abrasion Resistant

Massif developed HotJohns fabric as a comfortable, high performance flame-resistant alternative to cotton, silk, and polypropylene long underwear fabrics. Highly breathable and moisture wicking, HotJohns garments are the ideal base layer. Four-way stretch allows for uninhibited range of motion on the move or in cockpits and other cramped quarters.

Cool Knit^™

Lightweight | Four-Way Stretch | Breathable | Wicking

Cool Knit is a specialized lightweight, highly breathable fabric composed of DuPont™ Nomex IIIA brand fibers. Unlike traditional Nomex fabrics that become itchy, sweaty, and uncomfortable in warm and hot weather conditions, Cool Knit fabric is engineered to breathe and aggressively wick sweat away from skin to the outer surface of the shirt where it can dry rapidly. Cool Knit is soft next to skin due to Massif's proprietary knitting and finishing techniques.

Breeze^™

Lightweight | Four-Way Stretch | Breathable | Wicking

Breeze fabric is extremely lightweight and has a sophisticated moisture management system that helps prevent total saturation of the fabric during high activity in hot and dry scenarios. Breeze's specialized knit construction increases airflow through the fabric for increased ventilation and rapid drying. Additionally, Breeze's 3-D topography increases moisture movement away from the skin and decreases the amount of surface area that will stick to the skin when wet.

Blaze^™

Lightweight | Four-Way Stretch | Breathable | Wicking | Abrasion-Resistant

Blaze™ fabric was developed by Massif specifically for the sleeves of the Army Combat Shirt (ACS). Blaze's knit construction offers abrasion-resistance, breathability, moisture wicking capability and 4-way stretch for enhanced comfort and range of motion. A relatively lightweight fabric designed for use in hot weather conditions, Blaze wicks moisture away from the skin and dries quickly.

Helium^™

Lightweight | Four-Way Stretch | Breathable | Wicking

Helium is a soft, lightweight fabric in a solid-knit construction that exhibits exceptional wicking and ventilation capabilities. Helium provides comfort through decreased weight, increased breathability, formfitting stretch, and advanced moisture management capabilities. Helium helps prevent user fatigue by rapidly wicking moisture away from the skin and pulling it to the outer surface where it can dry quickly.
