DIRECTOR OF SALES/MASSIF COLLECTION

Massif Mountain Gear Company is a leading company in the high-tech outdoor clothing industry, producing cutting-edge flame-resistant outdoor clothing and fabrics for military, law enforcement, flight operations and wildland fire-fighting applications. The Company is launching a premier men’s sportswear collection for fall 2012. The Massif Collection is a product offering combining the tested and proven performance attributes of our core brand platform with luxury fabrics and styling for today’s modern fashion-conscious male customer.

Massif  is looking for an experienced Director of Sales to be responsible for all sales activities for the Company’s new menswear line, the Massif Collection. This individual has overall responsibility for achieving sales and profit objectives. He or she will identify sales opportunities, develop and manage relationships with key accounts, and will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies in support of meeting or exceeding defined Company objectives. Domestic and international travel is required.

This position reports to the Vice President/General Merchandise Manager.

The annual base salary range for this position is $110-115,000 plus bonus potential of 40% based on defined sales objectives.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in men’s fashion in wholesale and retail arenas
  • B.A. or B.S. with emphasis in Sales or related field, or comparable experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing  a Sales team
  • Strong understanding of competitive retail market
  • Exceptional history of consistently meeting or exceeding planned sales and profit objectives
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and professional, with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task with tight deadline constraints
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

VICE PRESIDENT PRODUCTION AND MANUFACTURING

We are currently looking for an experienced manager to lead our Manufacturing & Production team. This individual has overall responsibility for fiber and yarn procurement, fabric and garment manufacturing, including forecasting and planning, and managing the company’s cut-and-sew and other vendor relationships. This individual must be a hands-on problem-solver able to maximize company profitability through strong service and cost-related supplier negotiations. This position is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of materials and finished garments through thorough logistical planning and operations management. Some domestic and international travel is required.

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in garment procurement and production planning/forecasting
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in domestic or international manufacturing of garments
  • Experience in  fabric manufacturing environment preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing employees
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task with tight deadline constraints
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
